(JUST) BALLOONS

An old VHS tape offers up a titillating tapestry of balloon-oriented entertainment. Remember, it's just balloons and nothing else!

Film Festivals:  This film screened internationally at a whole menagerie of film festivals including such notables as Vienna Shorts, Uppsala Short Film Festival, Cabane à Sang, Scream It Off Screen, Cine Underground, Defy Film Festival, Bizarroland, Porn Film Festival Vienna, Sydney Underground Film Festival, and Athens International Film + Video Festival.

​Screening Note: This subversive parody film is all kinds of wrong, but soooo right. I was inspired when I saw a silhouette of a clown making balloon animals at a street fair—it was A LOT. The first time I saw this film with an audience, it was a primetime packed house at Defy Film Festival. I designed this film to make the viewer feel really uncomfortable, and when it was played it was BIG, and LOUD, and I felt really really really uncomfortable and was thinking, "Why did I even make this?!" and "Why didn't I at least make this shorter!?" all the while realizing I was signed up for a Q+A after the film screened. When the film was over, I was covered in flop sweat when I heard a random guy behind me utter, "That was perfect" which made me feel better. So, whoever that person is, "Thank You!" I made this film under my sometime moniker for silly things, Zahm Waters.  BTW, this has one of my favorite movie posters I've ever designed!
