9 min | color | 2k | stereo | 2015 | docufiction

A nude artist's model waxes poetic in this satirical look at ego in the art world.

Film Festivals:  This premiered at Chicago International Film Festival and screened at other notable festivals such as Marfa Film Festival (this festival was the best, so good I wrote a feature film about it!!!), Paris/Chicago Film Retrospective – Chicago International Series, Athens International Film + Video Festival, Moviate Underground Film Festival (Award Winner:  Best of Festival), and Mexico International Film Festival (Bronze Palm Award – Narrative Short Competition).

Screening Note: I made this after trying to cast another film with theater actors and was shot down a couple times when I was told, in one instance, "Film is below, me"like they were too good to act in film, so it ruffled my feathers and inspired me to make a really pretentious French New Wave-esque satire about a pretentious artist. Was at Marfa Film Festival on stage with Alia Shawcatt who happened to have starred in a French film with French directors, and an audience member asked me,"Why was your film in French?" My response,"It had to be pretentious." I got some looks. I used the name Brier Zahm for this one, "Brier" just like the cheese. FULL FILM HERE
